EYFS是英国政府以“给父母最好的选择,给幼儿最好的开始”为宗旨,英国国家早期教育纲要(简称EYFS),是世界最权威的婴幼儿教育标准之一。由英国教育部历时12年编纂完成,超过7000名专家、学者和教师参与制定,耗资1.5亿元。EYFS是有史以来最大规模早期教育跟踪及效果评估项目。这套系统以促进婴幼儿在7大领域的发展为终极目标。这七大领域细分为:身体发展、交流和语言能力、个人社会性和情感发展这三大基本领域;读写、数学、对世界的理解、艺术与设计表现力这四大特定领域。
EYFS的核心理念以儿童发展为中心。老师首先对儿童进行观察(observation),看、听与记录,对看到的现象进行描述。然后针对观察记录,评价(assessment)儿童的发展情况。最后进行下一步计划(planning),计划包括经验与机会、学习环境、资源、一日作息、教师的角色。通过观察-评估-计划这样的一个循环,EYFS的课程标准、管理标准与评价标准就以儿童发展为核心形成了一个的“操作系统”。
在日常教学中,老师们运用APP去做可视化的日常记录,APP内置英国早期教育体系EYFS所有的内容和指标。例如老师在教学活动中,观察到某个孩子的活动可能体现出了EYFS要求的某些方面的能力,并予以记录。老师可以根据数据,去判断这个孩子能力发展是否均衡,并根据这个孩子的观察评估记录,为孩子设计下一步的教学计划。同时,家长在APP上能看到一个孩子的入园、离园时间,饮食、休息情况等家长最关心的基本问题,而孩子的能力发展程度、游戏中的具体表现也会在记录通过之后发送到对应家长的手机端,确保家长掌握孩子在园所中的情况,因为上课统一都用平板记录,也保护每个孩子的隐私。通过老师对小朋友的观察报告和评测报告,家长会了解孩子的能力短板,通过家校合作,在下一个阶段有意识地加强。
通过这种联系,老师和孩子、家长之间也将形成积极正向的关系。关于老师的选择,桑庐私立幼儿园有着严格的标准。外教均英国直聘,有多年园所工作经历;教师均具备教师资格证和保育员资格,且须参加学前儿童全能力培养体系的教学培训,包括理论和实践,在达到考核标准之后,才正式进班。 托班的师生比例控制在1:4左右、其他班级的师生比例控制在1:5左右,确保能关注到每一个孩子的成长,如桑庐幼儿园小班满班25人,每个班级1个外教,4个中教。
