英国柏朗思学校位于英国伍斯特郡的柏朗思镇，是一所独立的男女生混合学校，从幼儿园、小学到中学，是英国顶级的K12私立寄宿学校，建校至今已有550年的历史。学校创始人是英国校长公会（HMC）的创始成员，同时也是剑桥大学伍斯特学院的创始人。学校声誉斐然且学术卓越，提供双课程体系（IB和A Level），综合实力一直位列英国私立学校前10名，每年有三分之一的毕业生进入世界排名前30的大学，三分之二的毕业生就读于罗素集团大学。

2016年9月，我校与位于英国的柏朗思学校（Bromsgrove School）正式合作。基于共同的办学理念，双方全方位精诚合作，涵盖学校管理、教师选聘和专业发展、课程设计、老师和学生的交换项目、运动竞技和大学申请等。双方将通过持续的评估和改进，为学生提供最优质的双语教育。

幼儿园的双语课程融合了东西方教育的最佳实践，包括受瑞吉欧启发的“游戏中学习”教学法，旨在为孩子提供人生中最好的起点。游戏是学习的工具，以最容易接受的方式为孩子提供学习机会。孩子在游戏中学会探索和思考问题。游戏激发创造力，建立信心，帮助孩子学会解决问题并掌握中英双语。研究表明，在游戏中学习可以在社交、情感和学术方面带来更大的成就。

每个班级有两位教师和一位班级助理共同教导、照顾孩子，有助于孩子建立成功的人际关系和强烈的自我意识。

我们以英国柏朗思学校的服务和成功为榜样向学生提供寄宿，在学术和全面发展领域提供了丰富的拓展机会，并提供了全面的关怀辅导以满足我们每一个学生的需求。

我们的宿舍是由四年级至九年级学生组成的小社区，通常由大约60名寄宿生组成。寄宿家长、女舍监、助理寄宿家长、专属的辅导员和支持团队负责宿舍中学生的安康和幸福。他们一起专业地、全心全意地克尽代理家长的职责，同时也进行启发人心的教学和指导。

我们的寄宿家长和助理寄宿家长会住在宿舍，他们也是学校的教师。女生和男生住在不同的楼层，每层都有一位寄宿家长。此外，我们的专属辅导员团队（也是学校教师）会轮流在晚上为学生提供额外的帮助。

我们的宿舍按照最高标准建造，精心考虑到了寄宿生的所有需求；每位寄宿生都有一张高质量的实木床、书桌和充足的储物空间。每个房间（住2位或3位学生）明亮通风，有宽敞的落地窗（增加了安全措施），以及设备齐全的现代化套内浴室。

我校的中外教师比例为50%：50%，师生比为1:6；教师团队均由国内外经验丰富、教学能力突出的卓越教育者组成，致力于为学生提供最优质的、最适合中国学生发展的双语教育！

幼儿园每个班班额的最大容量是22个学生（小小班班额20人），班上配有1位班级老师、1位生活老师，额外每两个班共同配有1位外籍及1位中籍语言教学老师。

中小学每个班班额最大容量为24个学生，实行双班主任制度配有一位外教班主任和一位中籍双语合作教学老师兼任中方班主任。

Our mission in the Preparatory School is to prepare our students for the academic rigour of the Senior School. Accordingly, we build on the strong bilingual and bicultural foundations laid thus far by having the students learn in a curriculum which blends the best of the internationally renowned Cambridge Pathway with that of the rigorous Chinese Compulsory Education Curriculum. Inquiry based learning provides students with the opportunity to explore geography, history, science and other subjects in a carefully crafted student led way, which fosters curiosity and develops higher order thinking and research skills. 

English is taught by experienced and well qualified expatriate teachers using Cambridge Global English and the best 21st Century active language learning methodologies. Chinese is taught by passionate bilingual Chinese teachers who have a love for Chinese language, literature and culture using the full range of effective teaching and learning strategies. In Mathematics, blessed with Chinese bilingual and expatriate mathematics specialist teachers, we follow the rigorous Beijing University Mathematics Curriculum and teach this in Chinese first before using and applying and deepening understanding of concepts with mathematics lessons taught in English by our expatriate mathematics teachers. Art, Science and PE are taught in both Chinese and English to further facilitate bilingual language learning whilst IT and Computer Science are taught in English.  Finally, in performing arts students are taught in Chinese and English by bilingual and expatriate specialist teachers allowing students to become bilingual performing artists as they prepare for success in the Associate Board of the Royal College of Music (ABRSM) or London Academy of Drama Arts (LAMDA) examinations.

A result of our academically rigorous and dynamic interactive teaching is that our students enjoy great success in both local mid-term and end of term examinations in Chinese, English, Mathematics and Science and also Cambridge Pathway Examinations in all of their subjects throughout their years in Preparatory School. More importantly they grow in confidence as compassionate, communicative, responsible risk takers and thinkers.

Leadership and healthy competition in all activities is a feature of Preparatory School with our vibrant student-led House System which aims to motivate high standards in all we do whilst celebrating student performance, often with a view to helping those less fortunate than ourselves.

As the World’s Largest Golf Resort, Mission Hills offers lush, green and picturesque scenery surrounding BMH. Students begin developing their physical skills from PreSchool and make the most of the resources available to us including our outstanding football pitch, outside play spaces and tennis courts, as well as the surrounding legendary golf courses and PGA US Academy, and MH Sports and Eco Park. Where students are identified as having exceptional sporting talents, they may be identified to join our Elite Performance Programmes.

At BMH, we model our boarding on the offer and success of our UK partner school, providing rich extension opportunities in the realms of academic and holistic learning as well as wrap-around pastoral care to meet the needs of each individual student in our care.

Our Houses are small communities of 10 to 15 year olds, usually consisting of around 60 boarders. A Houseparent, House Matron, Assistant Houseparents, and a dedicated team of tutors and support staff are responsible for the wellbeing and happiness of students within the House.  Together, they professionally and wholeheartedly serve in loco parentis, whilst also offering inspirational teaching and coaching.

Our Houseparents and Assistant Houseparents are boarding house residents and members of the BMH faculty.  Girls and boys live on separate floors with a Houseparent.  In addition, our dedicated tutor team (also BMH faculty) provide additional assistance via evening duties on a rotational basis. 

Dorm rooms are built to the highest standards and great care has been taken to provide for all the needs of our boarders; each has a quality solid wood bed, desk and substantial storage space.  Each room (shared between 2 or 3) is bright and airy, with expansive floor to ceiling windows (with safety structures added), and with a well outfitted and modern ensuite bathroom.

We aim to consistently enhance our communication at BMH and share with our community members the excellent teaching, learning and development taking place at the school. 

With a 50%:50% ratio of Chinese and foreign teachers and a 1:6 teacher-student ratio, the teaching team at BMH is made up of exceptional educators with outstanding teaching abilities from home and abroad who are committed to providing students with the highest quality, developmentally appropriate bilingual education for Chinese students!

The school has existing school bus routes - four routes for kindergarten: Longhua, Bantian, Mission Hills and Mission Hills Lake; and five routes for primary school: Futian, Longhua, Bantian, Mission Hills (including Guanlan) and Dongguan.
