Here at Shanghai Victoria our schools are accredited IB PYP World Schools. 

The PYP is a transdisciplinary curriculum that builds conceptual understanding and development of the whole child. Through the power of inquiry and reflecting on their own learning, students develop knowledge and conceptual understandings. The PYP delivers an education that is engaging, challenging and significant.  

Additionally, we implement one of the most relevant and state of the art literacy programs. The Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP). The program seeks to create avid, skilled, readers, writers and inquirers.  TCRWP’s mission is to develop future generations of expert, passionate and critical thinkers who use literacy to speak out about things in which they are passionate about. 

TCRWP provides students with age appropriate and powerful engagements with literacy. The work here at our Victoria Schools center around students agency, learning skills in phonics, reading comprehension and the craft of writing. This learning transfers across our curriculum and most importantly throughout our students lives. 

We foster holistic young people, who inquire, reflect, demonstrate empathy and take actions in which can help make our world a better place.

Each class has a Chinese teacher and a native English teacher who both share the responsibilities of teaching and classroom management. They are involved in every aspect of student’s daily life at school and work hard to create an immersive environment for our student's bilingual development.
