今年的6月1日不仅是儿童节,还是我们维多利亚徐汇园举行“小小世界”奥林匹克运动会的日子。
运动会的前期准备阶段,小朋友们都充分发挥了自己的能动性。在老师的带领下,小朋友们通过书籍和视频等不同的探究形式了解了世界各国的特色体育项目和奥运会的由来。校园里随处可见小朋友们积极探究的学习痕迹,让我们来看看各班知识渊博的小朋友们的探究吧!

This is K1’s first time participating in a school wide sports event. First, we learned about the origins of The Olympic Games and the 5 rings logo by looking at a PPT. We also had fun discussing all the sports we know and love. In addition, we had a look at some previous Sports Day's performances and enjoyed seeing how much fun everyone had before. The children are really looking forward to Children's Day and Sport's Day celebrations. We are also excited to share our class dance and festivities with all of you. It is going to be a very fun and exciting day for everyone!
今年是我们K1的小朋友第一次参加全园范围的运动盛会,我们通过PPT首先了解了“奥林匹克”运动会的由来以及最具代表性的“奥运五环”标志。我们还交流了自己知道及喜欢的运动项目。另外,我们还欣赏了过去运动会的操节表演,孩子们都特别期待即将举办的“庆六一”暨“小小奥林匹克运动日”活动。我们期待向所有人展示活力四射的韵律操节,也非常期待体验运动日当天有趣的游戏项目!

In order to welcome the upcoming school sports day, it being the first sports day that our K1B children have participated in, this means that it is very special and meaningful. Our class planned a warm-up session to learn how much we know about Games: We let the children understand the Olympic Games and its spirit. In the classroom we encouraged children to actively participate in the experience and perceive the fun of the Olympic Games. We played a variety of different games and we showed them videos that they thought were extremely exciting. At the same time, we give full play to the children’s subjective initiative and encourage them to share their favorite sports. We are all very excited for the upcoming Sports day. Wish us luck!
为了迎接即将到来的校运动会也是我们小班孩子们参与的第一次运动会,所以也就显得格外地特别和有意义。因此我班特别企划了一个运动会知多少的预热环节:让孩子们了解奥林匹克运动会及其精神。我们在课堂上通过视频、游戏等方式调动幼儿积极参与体验并感知奥运会多种体育项目的乐趣及其拼搏精神的意义所在,同时发挥小朋友们的主观能动性,鼓励他们一起来分享自己最喜欢的运动项目......让我们共同期待本次校运动会的到来吧!

After finding the Olympics logo on the campus, students found out more about the sports games. We wrote and drew about our favorite sports and shared with our friends. We created our own games for the school's own Little Olympics activity and held a basketball bouncing competi
tion for our K2 class.

To create some hype around the up-coming Sports Day activity, our class conducted a range of student-led activities within the classroom. Students exercised “Agency” throughout the activity giving each student the right to speak out about their favorite sports. The students interacted as a class to complete the following Sports Day related activities: A “sports charades” game to guess which kinds of sports would be held on the day, building more excitement for the event; a voting activity to voice their own sporting choices, indicating their preference for the Sports Day event; and lastly, writing down personal anecdotes to give reason for deciding on a particular favorite sport. Come on! We are looking forward to the awesome “Little World” Olympic Games!

First, as a class we shared our favourite sports. We thought and discussed "If I design a sports day, what kind of sports day would I hope to hold?" Everyone expressed their opinions and made suggestions for our Sports Day. As the host, what could I do for the games? We recorded our thoughts through writing and drawing.
